Heute wäre es fast soweit gewesen, dass ich mir eine digitale Spiegelreflexkamera gekauft hätte - Aber vielleicht tu ichs ja doch bald (?) Ein kleiner Bericht von zwei Kameras in der engeren Auswahl
Als ich gestern bei einem Geschäft in Krems die Canon EOS 300D um 799 EUR gesehen habe, und ich wusste dass sie im Bereich von 1000 EUR angesiedelt ist, dachte ich da schlag ich zu.
Am Abend fand ich im Internet noch einen Preis um 720EUR und dachte passt! Dann hab ich mir mal die Kritiken der Canon 300d durchgelesen, und war dann doch ein wenig schockiert.

Bad experience to me so far. I bought a new Digital Rebel and immdietely find the bad image with shadows on two sides of a square pattern at 100% view, in B&W.
Very cheaply built
The plastic construction hasn't bothered me yet, although it always COULD be more robust.
AWB fails miserably in tungsten light.
I bought one and returned it. Yes, the images are pretty nice but this thing is not built well. I take a lot of photos and need a camera that will hold up. Although I am gentle with my equipment, I had serious doubts about the expected lifespan of this camera. If you have to have a Canon, buy the 20D. It is more than twice the camera for 50% more

The body of the kit lens is plastic, not metal
Photos are quite detailed but have a processed look to them.
The case construction of plastic makes it more prone to wear and tear and dropping it is certainly not recommended. A more robust metal chasis construction however would come with its own penalties in weight and would not guarrantee imunity from damage.
Habe mich dann näher umgesehen und entdeckt, dass es ja auch noch die Canon 20d gibt, die wesentlich mehr kann und auch ein Magnesiumgehäuse besitzt - Da ich ja besonders viel und gern fotografiere würde mich ein Plastikgehäuse eher hart treffen.
Die Kamera hat sehr gute Kritiken und ich habe noch kein negatives Posting entdeckt - Eher das Gegenteil. Doch fand ich den günstigen Preis zur Zeit nur bei Amazon.at um 1380EUR, was natürlich fast doppelt soviel ist, wie die 300d.
Die 300d gibts bei Amazon übrigends schon um 680 EUR.
Einem Fotofachgeschäft nach zu Urteilen wäre von der 300d auch eher abzuraten. Von Nikon kommt im Frühling ein neues Modell. Mal schaun. Vielleicht schlag ich bei Amazon.at zu oder ich warte wirklich noch ab - aber 1380 ist schon eine Menge Geld.
