One of the most famous castles in the world is "Schloß Neuschwanstein". It's in the very south of Germany in Bavaria, just a few kilometers away from Tyrol Austria. It's remarkable appearance inspired Walt Disney when he designed the Walt Disney castle.
About the castle
The castle is actually not that old as you might think, when you look back Europeans history. The construction dated back only in the year 1869.
The palace was commissioned by King Ludwig the 2nd. It's a homage to Richard Wagner.
Jägerhaus - The house of the hunter
In fact it's neither built on a high montain nor is it very interesseting to see from inside, so if you want to save money for the entry, you don't need to worry that you've missed something.
From inside
In Summer 2011 a parking ticket for a car was 5€ per day. Note that you can't park somewhere else close by.
A unique palace
This is the view at the gates.
Pretty unique is the style of this castle. I highly recommed to walk up to the castle. To your right you wild with a path that will lead you to a bridge over a valley, from the bridge you can take amazing shots of the calse!
