In February I spontaneously booked a flight to Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. I didn't have an idea at all of the city until I was visiting it. As usual I was couchsurfing there again and it was great :-) The weather was actually better than it was in Vienna, even it was cloudy sometime, it was at least warmer :-) I also went out of the city to see the Scotish Highlands and Loch Ness

I was flying from Bratislava to Edinburgh with a low-cost airline. After approx two hours, I reached my destination. It was pretty simple to get around there, anyway the city center itself is not as big.
Impressions
So far I can say it was a nice expierence, I was lucky that the British Pound "collapsed" compared to the Euro and Scotland was cheaper than normal! But actually, they don't have the British Pound of course, they pay with Scotish money!
Scotish money - actually the same as the British pound ;-)
Famous for Scotland is of course, Scotish Whisky, but I personally prefer the Irish one

I am happy to survice crossing streets, without being hit by a car. But it seams it happens very often that drivers don't know on which side of the street they should drive :-)

Conclusion
I spent a nice weekend with my hosts. Aloe and her boyfriend Shigeto are actually from Taiwan and Japan but currently living in Edinburgh! They were cooking for me some Asian food (which was a bit adapted to European style :-))
Eating with chopsticks? Yes, we can! :-)
But I also tried Haggis, which was actually quite good!
